A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE. A LOCAL START.

Household readiness,
wherever you call home.

Practical planning starts with understanding your household, the supplies you already have and the support you may need when everyday services are disrupted.

How Ready is developing free household-readiness tools, starting in the United Kingdom. Our ambition is to make planning clearer and more accessible, country by country.

Designed for UK households. Early prototype, with a general planning checklist rather than a readiness score.

OUR APPROACH

A shared purpose.
A local approach.

Households face different conditions, services and official advice around the world. A useful readiness tool needs to reflect those differences.

Our approach is to develop country-specific guidance, language and methods, informed by local evidence and reviewed before release. We will not assume that one country's recommendations apply everywhere.

OUR FIRST PROTOTYPE

Starting in the
United Kingdom

The UK prototype helps you review household supplies and planning arrangements, then offers a general checklist of practical next steps.

It is free to use and does not require an account. Numerical readiness scores and duration estimates are not available while the UK methodology is being developed.

COUNTRY VERSIONS

Building country
by country

Future country versions are planned, not yet available. Each would need locally relevant sources, suitable language, clear limitations and testing with the people who will use it.

We will add country links here as versions become available. We are not publishing international rankings or comparisons at this stage.

OUR PRINCIPLES

Independent guidance,
a free starting point

Our intention is to keep the core household assessment and basic planning checklist free.

As the project develops, clearly disclosed product referrals and commercial partnerships may help fund the work. Commercial relationships must not determine assessment calculations or the order of independent planning actions.

LOOKING AHEAD

Working with others

Future collaboration could include local preparedness organisations, researchers, community groups and suitable commercial partners.

We are exploring these opportunities. We are not yet offering an international dataset, dashboard, licensed assessment or public API.
